FOR SPEED

SOFTEX, CARBON FLEX CONTROL

The heart of the Bravo frame is the SOFTEX system, the rear micro-suspension technology developed by Berria, which works as a system between the flex of the unique TIBIA seatpost and the flex of the specially laminated rear stays to convert flex and energy into speed, controlled by a FullBall pivot point integrated into the frame. The work of both elements adds up to a total rear frame travel of 28 mm.

The behaviour of the SOFTEX system is regressive, offering more resistance to flex as the magnitude of impact increases. It responds with great speed, thus keeping the rear wheel in contact with the surface for longer, which translates into speed, greater control and efficiency, ideal for fast riding and on terrain with moderate technical demands and small to medium impacts.

The SOFTEX system works by taking advantage of the controlled flex of the TIBIA seatpost which provides comfort and soft absorption. When impacts increase in intensity, the pivot point of the suspension activates the rear stays which, with their greater degree of resistance to flexion, cushion and provide rapid recovery of the suspension.

SOFTEX SYSTEM

The Softex system is regressive and works through a perfect combination of the TIBIA seat post and the rear carriage.

TIBIA SEATPOST

The Tibia Seatpost has been specially designed by Berria so that the carbon fibres absorb the imperfections of the terrain, providing maximum comfort without sacrificing weight or performance.

As a key part of the SOFTEX SUSPENSION SYSTEM, the tibia post works in the first section of the system absorbing low frequency bumps.

With the new Bravo and the Softex suspension system we are opening a new gap, a new segment focused on cyclists who need a bike capable of absorbing the imperfections of the terrain and giving back speed and control but who do not want to give up weight and efficiency.

Therefore, the new Bravo is a new evolved platform that is positioned between a classic hardtail bike and a full suspension bike, in the graph we represent in green the hardtail bikes and in yellow our new Bravo. As explained graphically, the new Bravo, through the SOFTEX that works through the carbon and the pivot point, has the ability to return more quickly to its natural position and work at higher frequencies than a traditional suspension system, so on uneven surfaces and small jumps it is much more efficient than a hardtail and a full suspension bike.
