With its racing double suspension MAKO is now evolving into a revolutionary model with an integrated shock absorber that is also more capable, thanks to new suspension travels and optimised kinematics that improve its handling to limits that no one has ever imagined before.

MAKO is made to obtain the best records in XCO, marathon or Down Country use, looking for the optimal balance between lightness, stiffness and a suspension kinematics that allows traction and avoids loss of energy in pedalling.

The new dimension of performance

The reactivity of the new bike is remarkable thanks to a rear chainstay that has been shortened by 5 mm compared to the previous generation model. All this, combined with a kinematics with high pedalling performance, gives the Mako 4 exceptional reactivity and energy conversion efficiency, enabling it to reach higher speeds in less time.

Grip and traction are guaranteed due to its compact suspension system and specific tuning on the shock absorber. Mako achieves a quick suspension return on technical terrain while keeping the wheel in contact with the ground without losing stability. Its short carriage combined with a progressive behaviour in the initial phase of the travel allows a permanent contact with the ground guaranteeing traction on climbs and on low grip terrain.

The kinematics and behaviour of the rear suspension have been optimised. The travel has been increased by 8 mm compared to the previous generation and is now 113 mm. The Mako allows a better utilisation of the travel with a feel that provides optimal rear wheel control and an optimal balance between traction and damping.

Virtually no pitching of the shock absorber from the SAG point (15-20% recommended) providing overall pedalling efficiency.

Descending technical areas more quickly and with more confidence is now easier thanks to the steering angle set at 67.5°.
