All Berria bicycles are sold exclusively through our network of authorized Berria dealers, whom we trust for the professional assembly and maintenance of our bicycles.

All new Berria bicycles come with the best warranty and the best loyalty program, once the owner and the product purchased have been registered.

Warranty conditions for BERRIA products.

LEGAL WARRANTRY

BERRIA guarantees all its products (frame, rigid fork, rear triangle on full suspension frames and AVANT brand components) against manufacturing defects for the first two years from the date of first purchase. This warranty entitles the customer to repair and/or replacement of the defective product, free of charge. The conditions of this warranty against manufacturing defects shall be governed by the rules established by law in accordance with the European Warranty Act.

Likewise, this warranty also specifically covers paint and corrosion defects on all frames and rigid forks that we fit to our bicycles for the period specified in the first paragraph of this warranty. In the event of wear or corrosion due to external agents, such as humidity, sweat or others, as well as the exposure of the product to the ultraviolet rays of the sun, will exonerate BERRIA from repair or replacement for the purposes of this warranty.

This guarantee is fully compatible with the legal and commercial guarantees of the manufacturers and distributors of the individual components of other commercial brands that we fit on our bicycles. In the event of a defect in any of these components, the owner will be responsible for processing the warranty directly with the manufacturers or distributors of these brands.

All second-hand products sold by an Authorized Berria Dealer are covered by the legal guarantee established by the Law on Guarantees for a period agreed by mutual agreement between the buyer and the seller. This warranty is the sole responsibility of the seller and not of Berria.

Products sold in a shop that is not an Authorized Berria Dealer will not be covered by the legal warranty and the BERRIA WARRANTY applicable to the original owner.

BERRIA WARRANTRY

Our Berria Warranty guarantees the entire frame, the rigid fork, the rear triangle in the case of a full suspension frame and the AVANT brand components against any manufacturing defect to the first owner, extending for a further 5 years after the end of the legal warranty (i.e. up to 8 years from the purchase of the product by the first owner).

To be valid, the owner's bicycle must have been registered in the REGISTER YOUR BERRIA section within a maximum period of 30 days from the date of purchase, sending the invoice or purchase receipt of the first purchase together with the serial number, the bicycle frame or model and the owner's details. The transfer of the product purchased by the first owner to another person will terminate this warranty. Therefore, this warranty is only valid for the original owner of the product.

LIMITED WARRANTRY

The commercial guarantee offered by BERRIA is expressly limited to repair or replacement in the event of manufacturing defects. Furthermore, Berria reserves the right to modify the nomenclature, finish, colour, paint and/or decals of the repaired or replacement frame.

Original purchasers of a BERRIA bicycle are warranted on assembled components such as shock absorbers, cranks, swingarms and rear suspension frame stays, non-rigid forks, wheels, transmission, brakes, seat post, stem and handlebars against manufacturing defects for 3 years in accordance with the above described warranty conditions offered by the respective manufacturers or distributors of originally assembled components of other brands. This warranty does not cover in any case the elements exposed to normal wear and tear, such as tyres, brake pads, grips, transmissions, bearings, tyres, etc.

If you have not registered your purchase through the BERRIA website, the BERRIA GUARANTEE will not apply, but will be limited to two years from the date of purchase.

BERRIA warns that, in the event that, due to the application of this guarantee and due to the improvements introduced in design and technology in its products, within the commercial guarantee period, compatibility problems arise between the product claimed and delivered, all related expenses will be the exclusive responsibility of the original owner.

The warranty will always be processed by an authorised Berria dealer, with shipping costs always being the responsibility of the original owner, and Berria reserves the right to request that the product be sent for evaluation and assessment. Berria reserves the right to repair or replace the claimed product, and its final decision is binding.

NO WARRANTY COVERAGE

The warranty does not apply in the following circumstances:

  • Fluorescent colour fading caused by prolonged exposure to UV (ultraviolet light) from sunlight, which is not considered a production defect.
  • Use or contact with harmful chemicals or cleaning agents (including alcohols on screen surface treatments), or a source of intense heat.
  • Defects caused by normal wear and tear.
  • Damage, breakage, cracks and or defects due to accidents, mistreatment or neglect. To the extent permitted by law, consequential and incidental damages are not covered by this warranty.
  • Improper assembly or incorrect assembly.
  • Improper maintenance by the owner or by any third party on behalf of the owner. Non-compliance with proscribed maintenance and care procedures, improper or incorrect maintenance and repairs by anyone other than an authorised Berria dealer.
  • Installation of non-original components, parts and accessories other than those supplied or fitted by the factory, and therefore not originally designed for, or compatible with, the bicycle sold.

RESERVES

Berria reserves the right to carry out restitution within the warranty period using spare parts from the most recent versions compatible with the model in question, and cannot guarantee perfect harmony with the original paintwork or decorative elements associated with specific production items or limited editions. In addition, the natural deterioration of colours after a period of time may cause differences in the colour matching of spare parts.

In the event of replacement of the frame, this guarantee shall in no way cover the replacement of any component installed on the original bicycle that is incompatible with the product delivered by Berria, the owner being responsible for the cost of any type of part, accessories and/or components that may be necessary for its final assembly. Furthermore, the owner must pay, in all cases, the cost of the labour required for the disassembly and subsequent assembly of the frame and/or fork to be repaired or replaced, in the event that Berria is requested to carry out the repair or replacement. Likewise, in the event that the services of an official dealer are required, the cost of these tasks shall be borne by the owner.

Likewise, BERRIA accepts no liability for incidental or indirect damage. Due to the inherent danger of using a bicycle, whether on the road or in the mountains, and the physical risks derived from its use, this guarantee only covers the replacement of the components affected, and does not under any circumstances cover any personal injury that may arise directly or indirectly from the failure of the components during use. In the event of a traffic accident, regardless of the direct cause of the accident, Berria's warranty is completely void.

WARRANTY PROCEDURE

To request BERRIA to take responsibility for any defects or faults that may be present in its products, the owner must go to their official Berria dealer who must open an incident procedure, provided that they have previously registered the warranty, and it is recommended that this is done by the official Berria dealer where the product was purchased, attaching the proof of purchase.

WARRANTY REGISTRATION

In order to process the warranty of your bicycle, you must go to the official Berria dealer where you purchased the product, in order to process your warranty yourself. If it is not possible to go to your current authorised Berria dealer, you should look for another dealer near you in the dealer section of our website, or you can register your warranty yourself in the Berria Registration section of the website. If for any reason you are unable to do so, please contact our customer service department and you will receive the corresponding instructions for processing the warranty registration. In order to process the warranty, you must provide Berria or the dealer with a copy of the document of purchase of the bicycle (bill of sale).

GUARANTEE INCIDENTS MANAGEMENT PROCESS

In the warranty claim process, 2 types of incidents are to be distinguished:

  1. those produced on the frame, rigid fork, rear triangle and own brand components (AVANT).
  2. those occurring on third-party components.
  1. Incidents on the frame, rigid fork, rear triangle and own brand components (AVANT): the owner must contact his official Berria dealer who will open an incident procedure by contacting the warranty department.

    The e-mail should include photographs that clearly and perfectly indicate the affected area, as well as the corresponding description of the problem. BERRIA will assess the incident and, if appropriate, will provide the distributor with an incident number, resolving it as quickly as possible.

    Our technicians will be responsible for analyzing and resolving the incident, after an exhaustive study of the part in question, as detailed in the contract to which these warranty conditions apply.

    In the event of replacement, the damaged products will become the property of BERRIA.

    All warranty claims must be channelled through an authorized BERRIA dealer.

  2. Incidents involving third-party components: If the incident involves any third-party components other than BERRIA products, the owner must contact the authorized BERRIA dealer and/or the original manufacturer of said component directly. They will be the ones to resolve the incident independently, so Berria is not responsible for the handling of the products of such an incident. The authorized Berria distributor shall be directly liable for any damages that may be caused by the incorrect assembly and maintenance of these products and/or their components.

BERRIA LOYALTY PROGRAM

We know and understand what it means to have to replace a BERRIA bicycle frame or component if the damage is not covered by our brand's warranty.

To help you, we have created the BERRIA LOYALTY PROGRAM for the replacement of a frame or component of our own brand (AVANT) without warranty coverage.

This BERRIA LOYALTY PROGRAM allows you to enjoy a discount when you have to change a frame or other own brand (AVANT) component that has suffered damage that is not covered by warranty, including the customization of the frame in the price.

Components of other brands mounted on our bicycles do not benefit from the BERRIA LOYALTY PROGRAM.
