NAII Hiawatha in 66 degrees Sud
On the challenging stage of Les Angles, in the Catalan Pyrenees, Max Saonit has completed a cycling feat that tests the limits of gravel and human endurance. The 66 Degrees Sud, an event that winds through mountainous terrain between 1,600 and 2,000 meters of altitude, has become the perfect testing ground for our Berria NAII BR Hiawatha.
The race, known for its technical and demanding terrain, features a course that challenges even the most experienced cyclists (recently retired professional Romain Bardet was among the participants). With over 1,870 meters of positive elevation gain, the route crosses forests, rocky trails, and Pyrenean landscapes that test both the rider and their machine.
The Berria NAII BR Hiawatha has demonstrated extraordinary adaptability. From km 7, where the course begins to climb steeply, to the final sections that demand maximum concentration, the bike has responded with surgical precision. Its racing geometry, developed within our BR line, proved especially effective on the singletracks and uneven terrain that characterize this event.
Most remarkable was the bike's ability to absorb the impacts of extremely demanding terrain, maintaining a level of stability and comfort that was fundamental to Max's excellent performance. The combination of his technique and the engineering of the NAII BR Hiawatha resulted in a perfect symbiosis between rider and machine.
This participation is not only a personal achievement for Max but also a validation of Berria's BR concept: bikes designed to push performance to the limit, developed directly from competition for riders seeking excellence.
