There are elegant ways to start a year. And there are real ones.
The Wild Woods Gravel in Montegrotto Terme was exactly that — a season opener without concessions. It also marked the first chapter together with FolMTB Racing Team. Welcome to the Berria family.
The course — 65 kilometres and 900 metres of elevation across the Colli Euganei — was defined not only by its profile, but by its conditions. A dense wall of fog covered large sections of the route, reducing visibility to just a few metres. Rain turned the gravel sectors into deep mud, making traction unpredictable and every corner a strategic decision. Climbs felt heavier. Descents demanded absolute precision. Energy management became decisive from the first kilometre.
This was not a race of spectacle. It was a race of control. Of patience. Of keeping a clear mind when the terrain offers no forgiveness. And in that context, FolMTB Racing Team responded with character and focus, showing from day one the identity that will define this season.
